About the exhibitor

Autodidact, creation contributes since always to my balance of life. Child already, by means of the pencil, then later of the charcoal and blood, I drew hundreds of faces, conferring an expression, a history to them. In fact the limits of the support led me to discover the work of clay, a few years ago. It is after a passage by the writing, that I still practice, that I really started to carve.

I live my work in a quasi méditatif withdrawal. My characters all are resulting from my imaginary and the process of maturation of my works is very slow. They are born initially in spirit. Some, as by magic, appear to me in thought, instantaneously. Others, always very clear on the bottom as for the emotion or with the feeling which they will have to reflect, are specified with me gradually. Depending directly on the initial feeling, the aspect of the character emerges then from the gangue of its own history and appears with measurement of the days and the weeks, in my spirit.

Even once very precise in thought, all my future sculptures live initially in me and with me. A long time. They remain with the state of project and live in my imaginary world, are côtoient and grown; They are a little as children who must mature before being delivered alone.

Then comes the moment when one of them, arrived at complete maturation, will be ready to face the outside world, with being materialized: Then begin a new phase of the process.

It is an exclusive and true relation which are established then between the character that I create and myself. An osmosis and an exchange of more enriching for me. Until the result of the work, all lasting work (of the weeks, sometimes of ego), I am entirely absorbed by the world of my sculpture. It, still living through me, and me living with it. Until it is completed and can be devoted to your glance, with your judgment, we nourish ourselves and we water ourselves one of the other.
